Seth C. McMillan is a shareholder in the Santa Fe office. The majority of Seth’s practice currently takes place before the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division, where he represents industry clients in force pooling, salt water disposal, and other regulatory matters. Seth has an undergraduate degree in Geology from Amherst College. Prior to law school, he conducted geochemical research at Los Alamos National Laboratory and was a Program Coordinator at Santa Fe Institute.
Seth is also a litigator, representing clients in a wide variety of matters, including wrongful death, products liability, general tort litigation, banking litigation, and education law. Representative clients include banks and other financial institutions, automakers, tire manufacturers, supermarkets, retailers, restaurant chains, and New Mexico state agencies. Seth also has significant experience drafting appellate briefs in the New Mexico Court of Appeals, the New Mexico Supreme Court, and in New Mexico’s federal district and appellate courts.
Prior to joining Montgomery & Andrews in September 2008, Seth served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lynn Pickard of the New Mexico Court of Appeals. While in law school, Seth served as manuscript editor on the New Mexico Law Review. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable James A. Parker, U.S. District Court.
Seth lives in Santa Fe with his wife Megan Goldberg and their son Zeke.
