Scott Hall assisted a mid-stream gas marketer in obtaining the agreements and regulatory approvals necessary for the formation and operation of an underground gas storage unit in New Mexico. Complicated by the existence of a producing gas well that was inadvertently drilled and completed in the same geologic interval as the gas storage formation, Mr. Hall worked with multiple state agencies to successfully resolve the situation, and to obtain the necessary underground injection, storage and withdrawal rights on federal, state and private lands, including by use of eminent domain.
